Took part in the Cultural Canvas design competition by The Social Switch Project, the brief was to submit a design that embody the history, creativity, and strength of Black culture. The winning design would featured on the uniforms of the Social Switch teams.
The design I produce won and was included on the uniforms of the Social Switch team members.
I focused on communication because it's a core skill in both tech and creativity. I wanted to inspire Social Switch's audience with designs that appeal to young adults, while incorporating elements from Black culture, like parrots native to Africa and the Caribbean, and speech bubbles filled with emojis and hashtags like #BLMand #inspire.
The designs pallet is limited to the rainbow brand pallet Social Switch uses through out their marketing. This was done to ensure that the design fit within their brand and limit the amount of colour needed for printing.
