As apart of the mentoring training at Karrot I was tasked with creating animations, rigs and storyboards. My mentor was Tim Wheatley.
All works were created for training purposes using industry standard software like Toon Boom, CelAction and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Animation
We primarily worked in Toon Boom Harmony, and created some frame by frame looping animations.
We worked on some other production software like CelAction2D, After Effects and we even did some stop-motion with clay.
Rigging
began by designing the characters in Photoshop, in Toon Boom Harmony broke the design into parts like head, body, arms, legs etc… Then added bones (deformers) and pegs in order to articulate the character, added masks (cutter) and patches to hide the seams of the rig and, finally drew in the drawing substitutions.

Ten Little... Who?
These boards and designs were created for training purposes.
For this I given the script for the episode and reference images from the book, and had to adapt it into a storyboard.
The purpose was to see how I might adapt the books style for a series and get me familiar with designing for a TV production.
Again I had some reference from the book, and at this point had seen some of the show. I design the turnaround and background using Photoshop.
